Not any more! Whether you’ve eliminated gluten, sugar, dairy or all animal products we offer an amazing line of cupcakes that meets these needs. Every day we offer at least one vegan, gluten-free and low glycemic option among the 10+ cupcake flavors of the day.
We are listed in the essential gluten-free restaurant guide and were awarded the gluten-free featured restaurant seal. Our gluten-free cupcake flavors include: Bunny Love (carrot cake with cream cheese), Choco Libre (chocolate-vanilla), Chocolate Decadence (flourless chocolate), Chocotorte (chocolate-chocolate), Coco Cabana (chocolate-coconut), Raspberry Cheesecake (raspberry-cream cheese) and our house favorite, the Limone Ricotta, a lemon-ricotta almond torte topped with lemon cream cheese frosting – featuring house-made ricotta and cream cheeses – featured in the Winter 2010 No. 11 issue of Edible San Diego Magazine.
For those living the vegan lifestyle we have a terrific assortment of flavors, including Berry Berry Good (raspberry), Chocoholic (chocolate-chocolate), Chocolate Cheesecake, (chocolate-cream cheese) Chris Jones (mocha-topped chocolate-vanilla swirl), Cookies n’ Cream, Deez Peanuts (peanut) , Goober (PB&J), Great Pumpkin (pumpkin-cream cheese), Lemon Poppy Seed, Nuts Over Chocolate (PB-chocolate), Vanilla Bean, and the Strawberry Tea Cup, a vanilla cup sliced and filled with “cream cheese” frosting, house-make jam, and fresh strawberries, topped with powdered sugar.
Any of these vegan options work for someone with a dairy intolerance, but we also have a single dairy-free cupcake, the PB Cup, a chocolate cupcake topped with peanut butter frosting in a semisweet chocolate shell.
Our newest addition to the daily menu is a cupcake made without any added sugar, including A Clovework Orange (orange spice), Walnutty (chocolate-walnut), and our most popular, the Harvest, a zucchini-carrot cupcake filled with walnuts and topped with frosting made with our house-made cream cheese. All of these cupcakes are sweetened only with organic raw agave nectar.
