Love tamales, hate all the saturated fats? Join in this holiday tradition without fear in this hands-on how to make healthy tamales – made with olive and avocado oils and NO LARD.  Menu will include Hot Champurrado Drink, Shrimp Tamal Pie Wrapped in Banana Leaves with Fresh Mole, Pork in Tomatillo Sauce, Tamal Wrapped in Banana Leaves, Sautéed Vegetables and Goat cheese Tamal With Morrita Sauce, and Sweet Fruity Tamal.  Students will not only enjoy the fresh tamales in class, but also make and assemble tamales ready to take home and steam later.
